Porto Santo

A small and relatively little visited island off the south-east coast of Madeira, in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Morocco. Porto Santo has no more than a few tiny villages, and an almost 'other-worldly' mood of timeless tranquillity. Its loveliest feature is its spectacular sandy beach - three miles in length and unspoilt.
